I am so sad to have just found out that Dianabasi passed away less than two months ago. I had the honour and privilege of being his supervisor during his PhD studies.
Dianabasi had a wonderful soul and a real warmth about him and I really enjoyed watching him grow during his PhD journey, which was not easy. Being the man he was, he never wavered from the task in hand and received his just reward passing his viva from the University of Birmingham with flying colours in 2022.
This world has lost a real gent and you will be deeply missed Dianabasi. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, whom I know you loved so much.
Dianabasi and I worked together in the MoJ (OPG) since 2014. We worked in the same department for a few years and progressed to managerial level.
Dianabasi was ambitious, aspiring to continously develop and progress to senior levels.
I felt inspired and motivated when I learnt of his achievement in acquiring his PhD.
He so loved his family and often spoke about their birthdays, anniversaries, family holidays and other beautiful memories.
It feels surreal to talk about him in past tense.
He was such a dedicated and determined individual with good intent and always purposeful.
He was such a great asset to the organisation and he is sadly and greatly missed!!
I such a difficult time, I pray for comfort and peace to his immediate family, relatives, friends and anyone who knew him 🙏 🌺.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
